Buddy is built to help people discover new connections, meet people nearby and share experiences.

A great Buddy community starts with people treating each other with respect.

These Community Guidelines apply to everyone using Buddy, including profiles, posts, photos, messages, comments and other interactions.

Be Yourself

Use Buddy as yourself.

Do not:

Authenticity helps people make informed decisions about who they connect with.

• Impersonate another person
• Use someone else's identity
• Create deceptive profiles
• Misrepresent your age
• Misrepresent your intentions
• Use fake photos to deceive others.

Treat People With Respect

Different people use Buddy for different reasons.

You may be looking for:

Respect other people's choices and boundaries.

• Friends
• Travel Buddies
• Activities
• Social connections
• Nightlife
• Dating
• Relationships
• Other consensual adult connections.

Consent Matters

Consent must be:

Clear. Voluntary. Mutual. Ongoing.

A connection, match, message or profile preference does not mean someone has consented to:

If someone says no, stop.

• Sexual activity
• Physical contact
• Sharing private content
• Meeting in person
• Continuing a conversation
• Receiving sexual messages or images.

No Harassment

Do not:

• Threaten people
• Stalk people
• Bully people
• Repeatedly contact someone who does not want contact
• Intimidate people
• Humiliate people
• Encourage others to target someone.

No Hate

Buddy does not allow content or behavior that attacks or promotes hatred against people based on protected characteristics.

This includes:

• Threats
• Dehumanizing statements
• Slurs
• Calls for violence
• Organized harassment.

Keep It Appropriate

Buddy is an adults-only platform, but being 18+ does not mean everything is allowed.

Do not use Buddy to distribute:

• Exploitative sexual content
• Non-consensual intimate content
• Sexual exploitation
• Extreme graphic violence
• Illegal content
• Content involving minors in a sexual context.

Don't Scam People

Never use Buddy to deceive people for money or financial gain.

Examples include:

• Romance scams
• Investment scams
• Cryptocurrency scams
• Fake emergencies
• Requests for gift cards
• Fake financial opportunities
• Fake identities
• Payment fraud.

Respect Privacy

Do not share another person's:

• Private messages
• Private photographs

• Financial information
• Personal information

No Spam

Do not use Buddy for:

• Mass messaging
• Fake engagement
• Automated promotional campaigns
• Unwanted advertising
• Referral abuse
• Manipulation of rankings or matching.

Use Buddy Responsibly

Do not attempt to:

• Hack Buddy
• Scrape data
• Circumvent security
• Manipulate matching
• Use unauthorized bots
• Create fake engagement
• Exploit technical vulnerabilities.

Report Problems

If you see something that violates these Guidelines:

Report it.

You can also block users you do not want to interact with.

Buddy may review reports and take appropriate action.

Enforcement

Depending on the severity of the violation, Buddy may:
